Lewis’s @that.carbon.gtr Mini R56 JCW returned to our workshop for another exciting round of upgrades, taking his car to the next level of performance and weight savings. In this build phase, we focused on further enhancing the car’s chassis and front end turn in.
Here’s what we fitted during this stage:
• Fibreglass Doors retrofitting OEM door handles and door locks
• Fibreglass Bonnet with Aerocatches and OEM trim
• Fiberglass Bonnet Vents
• Fibreglass Boot fitted with Aerocatches paired @Fast_labuk mounts
• Polycarbonate Windows (All Around)
• Custom Chassis-Mounted Splitter
We also carried out significant weight reduction measures, successfully bringing the car down to an impressive 1070kg.
Using the knowledge and experience gained from our previously built personal cars, we were able to fine-tune Lewis’s Mini to feel completely transformed. The adjustments not only improved the car’s performance but also shaved valuable seconds off his lap times.
After this phase of work, Lewis took his Mini to Cadwell Park and then back to the Nürburgring. The improvements made a noticeable difference, enhancing his overall driving experience and making the car even more enjoyable to pilot on the track.
We’re thrilled to have been part of this build once again and can’t wait to see what Lewis takes on next with his fully upgraded Mini!
Stay tuned for more updates from TrackDevelopments.
